Title: dashlights flicking

My 2006 charger dash lights and gauges start to flick on and off, then I get a smell of fumes and the heater cuts in and out. Anybody have any suggestions on what the problem could be. :'(

 It's rejecting the nameplates 'n this is a symptom.
