never realised the 426 hemi was used up till 83 .. never really paid any real attention to mopar race cars after 74

The Hemi was actually used through 1984 in ARCA.  Gordy Blankenship was the last guy to race a Hemi in professional stock car racing in his Mirada.   The Mirada had been a Magnum and before that, a 1974 Charger.   The last race recorded was 9/2/84 on the mile dirt at DuQuoin IL.
