Title: Scissor Jack found in Daytona Trunk - What is it?
Post by: RSI700VIPER on February 05, 2023, 06:19:17 PM
Obviously not a Daytona jack but shares many features including the bearing.  Any idea what it's from?  Can the centering pin be added to the top to clone a Daytona jack?

It is an aftermarket jack sold by many parts houses, (many years ago).  It is the heavy duty version.  Not close enough to pass for a real Superbird/Daytona jack.
Weld a knob on top and sell it for a clone. WINGNUT

It seems like a variety of similar jacks used to be commonly available.

I'm not sure if Custer Manufacturing was the only supplier supplying the similar jacks under a propriety umbrella.

Here is a page from a Mopar Multi-Purpose Line catalog. Page dated August 1969.

It is a 1 1/2 ton Mechanical Screw Jack. I know it does not have the cut-outs on the base sides.
