Hi,

I've got a 74 Charger SE 5.9 360 and wanted to know if I could remove the Emission System? (Partly/All Together)
The EGR, Dizzy & PCV vac lines are there but nothin else.

There is not much to bolt-on simple emission systems on this car. A PCV valve is a good thing for most cars, so you should keep that. The charcoal canister is easy to get rid of. The spark delay valve can be taken out of the picture by simply routing the vacuum advance directly from carb to distributor.

Everyone thought back in the day that all that stuff is what was making for bad gas millage. I pulled it all off my very first 73 back then.  Did nothing to help, it was still bad.
Fact of teh matter was these engines simply got bad fuel economy.
Now, I went out of my way with the 73 to hook everything up so it would look correct.

Ok, so which lines should I keep?  Can I get rid of the black circular thing beside the ign coil?  Any pics?
