Does a 360 have enough torque to even spin those meats in back?

VERY cool.  I'd own it in a heartbeat.  The paint's a little wild, but it'd be all black within a month of arriving in my driveway.

Is it bad saying this is SORT of what what I want to do with the aspen except the wild paint and the huge thing sticking out of the hood?  :shruggy:

I dont recall the motor, only that I once saw it & thought it was nuts to drag such a short car.  :o

Someone had a Colt for sale at a Spring or Fall Carlisle show back in the early 80's that was painted very similar except for the Sox lettering. It had a 340 in it, & the guy said it was "street legal" with working headlights, etc.

.

They raced it and it was crazy fast, but the short wheelbase made it dangerous on the track.

I remember the pro stock arrows too,..
Everyone knows a looong wheel base is a neccessity for stability...
hence the evolution of the singshot dragster funnycar, remember when they were putting supercharged hemis in the old english anglias?..
soon they sported five foot extensions to push the front wheels forward cause they simply couldn't be driven without barrelrolling...

i think a long wheelbase like our b-bodies have add greatly to comfort and stability.

btw:
i found this cool little site while looking for SS Arrow pics..
about the right era..

They were EXTREMELY dangerous, short, narrow and fast as a lightning bolt, but EXTREMELY unstable, Don Carlton (Mopar Missle) got killed testing one, it went airborne at speed in the lights at a racetrack (englishtown I THINK) and when it stopped Carlton was gone.

I think that kinda killed the infatuation some guys had with these cars and the mopar guys went back to Dusters. The Arrow was  a LOT better.
Bob "Mr Ford" Glidded won the 79 Pro Stock Championship in an Arrow.
