I just need one, hard to find because of the flattened side, there is nothing else special about, I think they are also grade 8

Take a 3/8"-24 bolt of the appropriate length and grind one of the hex sides flat with the shank. Nobody's gonna see it.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Aren't these splined/knurled to resist turning sorta like a lug stud?

They are, but like Kunkel said, a hex bolt with one side ground down will lock itself against the 'bulge' of the outer wheel bearing housing. It's not going to spin, that's for sure! I also stock the correct studs should the OP want them...just send me a PM!  :2thumbs:

Oh that is a good idea! I would guess since they do not repro these bolts, if they did they would be expensive! I only need one, other bolts are good

Why are you saying they don't repro these bolts.. as we noted you can buy them from both Dr Diff and Parts Mix.. among others. They are a stud/lug similar to wheel studs.

Oh I missed parts mix piece, Dr. Diff - thought he collects/sells parts, not a distributor.

frank1966

I checked parts mix - they do not stock the bolts. I will ask Dr. Diff

ANY 8 1/4" axle and every car 9 1/4" axle uses the same bolt. Why not bang one out of a used axle somewhere?

Birdflu

Here's what we stock...(1) kit does both sides of the housing (10 studs/10 nuts). They run $29.95/set shipped anywhere in the contiguous U.S.
PM if you like

Or as he previously noted... available from Birdflu !!  :2thumbs: BTW.. what company Birdflu? ? ? so we can support same!
