I am helping a buddy out on his car and we are wondering what air cleaner is usually seen on 1969 383 4 bbl motors. If it matters, it is a November 1968 production car. I have seen dual snorkel and no snorkel styles on cars at shows. Were both available, or was the dual snorkle what came on them as a standard?

my understanding is that the duals were part of the Calif. Noise reduction smog package,,,

The air cleaners with out the snorkels were called the unsilenced housing and were used on the high performance 383's and 440's.
