I live 200 miles away from AMD, planning to go down there and pickup a new roof skin for my 69 this coming week.  After we blasted the car, found out the roof was MUCH worse than we could guess.  My great looking orginal 69, had major "repair" done to the roof before.  "Creative bondo" doesn't even describe what was done to the roof.

anyway, I think the body shop is about to get busy on my car.  :)  Hopefully most of the work will get done this year.

Let us know how the install works.  Any pictures would be great.  I'm not sure if I can salvage mine or not.

Thanks,
Adam

I should be able to get pics of the car the way it is now this week, as far as the install goes, a friend who runs a custom car shop is doing the work (not free of course)

dont know when he'll get started on it though

I have replaced roof skins before with OEM and used parts. For those that might be intimidated by the sound of replacing a roof-not to worry. The roof is the easiest weld on panel to replace by far.Just like on a house,it is the last item to go on,so there is almost nothing to disturb.Easy to clamp, and easy to weld. Not much room for error.I have not used the AMD roof panels yet.Looking forward to the review of the AMD panel

We did one recently, on a 69 Coronet. No problems with the fitting, Good stuff.

Nothing to see here folks, its just a Bluesmobile

Okay, got down there today to AutoMetalDirect to pickup the roof this morning, and got it back to south carolina without ANY incident (other than seeing about 20 different GA and SC highway patrol guys giving me a hard look,{we strapped the box onto the top of a mini-van})

anyway, got it to the shop for my friend(and body man) to look at, and he was impressed with it.

Sorry no pics, but there will be, we hope to get on this car during the summer and get her finished.

BTW, everybody was really nice and fun to talk to there. Neat place to see.

Hey AUTORUST,just wondering how all the other panels you have on that Coronet look and fit.All AMD I assume?
I have used several of their parts now too. Most of it fits really well.
