Hey,I was wondering if someone can tell me if this a the right floor for a 69 charger? The area where the gas tank filler neck goes doesn't look like other chargers I've seen.I don't know where it's from, all I know is it was put in by one of the former owners. And it's a two piece floor.

Doesn't look like any '69 Charger floor I've seen.

IIRC, the repop floors had the filler neck opening sized for a 1968 style gas tank seal, which is a much smaller piece than the 1969.  Strangely enough, the 1968 small gas tank seal is NOT reproduced, but the 1969 seal IS.   :brickwall:

Either way, I think the opening is supposed to be present in a Charger trunk floor.

I wouldn't be surprised if the old owner put a different floor in.Judging be half the other crap he did,so I guess I'll have to modify the opening?

I guess I'm making a piece to weld in.Good thing a got a new welder. :scratchchin:

I agree, doesn't look like a 69 Charger trunk floor.  A 69 floor would have a very noticeable stamping for the filler neck to go thru and the seal to rest.

The good news is you have a solid floor  ;D

Just file this one under, "He went to at least as much money/effort to do it wrong as it would have taken to do it right."

Ya,this guy did a hole lot of things wrong I think that why he sold the car,he got in over his head.I've had to cut out almost all of what he did.
And That's what I was thinking is to get that section of floor out of a scrap car and weld it in.So if you know of a good section anyone please let me know.

Would it looks like I found a piece,I'll let you know how it works out. :2thumbs:

Definately not a 2nd gen Charger trunk floor pan

I've been looking and it's not charger, but I will have a piece soon to weld in then it will be right. And I also just pick up a used complete rear frame rail  with both spring mount for $200.00.It still has factory paint and undercoat on it. :2thumbs:
