Well I see on page 13 of the May 2010 issue of Musclecar Review that they basically just regurgitated what the Mecum press release told them to print when they reviewed Mecum's January auction in Florida.  I don't know that it's their fault for accepting what they were told without bothering to check the facts or not but you can bet that by having it printed in their magazien, the next time that car comes up for auction someone will step up to buy that ultra rare piece of "history".  You know, now that it's true and all.  :icon_smile_wink: :rotz:

There was also no way Allison was using it to test a 305 for Chrysler at Daytona and Talladega.

Found the old thread, it has a lot of the details on the car.  Pisses me off that Mecum are out there trying to keep the lie alive.  (and again, I'm giving MCR the benefit of factchecking doubt here assuming they are putting their stock in a press release from Mecum)

was just looking for that thread but could not find it  :2thumbs:
yeah remember now , every time i look at that nose & wing  !!  :icon_bs: pity there is no close ups of the underside & chassis etc  :scratchchin:
seems odd that a big name auction house would be involved with a car that to all intense & perposes a bad clone or   :shruggy: :-\
