Well the girlfriend got me Nascar tickets to the Dia Chrysler 400 race on March 12th.
Now all we have to do is get a good deal on airfare and hotel.

Any input from you guys here?

Thanks

I lived in Vegas for almost 10 years. Definitely stay away from the downtown area. The hotels on the strip are much better. The Palms, the Rio & the Hard Rock are the "happening " places.  The Rio has a great Buffet! :yesnod:

Be ready to pay at least $150 a night for a half decent room - if you can find it.

I went for the race 2 years ago and I dont know if id go back. As I hinted earlier, room rates get jacked up, the casinos are overrun by Dale Jr. gear sportin' mullets, and you have to wait 30 mins to an hour in line just to get something to eat at the cafes.

That, and the day of the Busch race it started hailing halfway through the race and the girlfriend and I got lost in the parking lot for 3 hours trying to find our car.

Ya, sure you got "lost" for 3 hours.....

Sounds like it's better to rent a Winnebago & set up camp in a big store parking lot. ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Im not exaggerating when I say 3 hours. We couldnt find the damn car! we were ready to call the cops and report it stolen and she was almost in tears at that point. It's a huge gravel lot with no section markings or anything. Looking back on it, that shit was pretty funny, but at the time it was horrible.
