'69 Charger petrol (gas!) tank vent line routing assistance please ...

Guys, can anyone help me with a picture (or description) of how the vent line that runs along the fuel filler neck should exit (presumably) out of the trunk floor please?

I searched on here and read that the line vents to atmosphere. That's fine but my car has had new trunk pans, so a) there's no hole/fitting for the line to go through the trunk floor, and b) it vents into the trunk  :rotz: ... that may explain the headaches...

Anyway, the hole for the filler neck is too tight to run the line along side it, and I have a new filler neck to trunk floor seal I want to install, but get the two jobs done together..

I'm thinking just putting a pipe fitting through the trunk floor and 'fuel hosing' the vent line to it.

Thoughts/help please guys...

Thanks,

CS

Your floor story sounded like mine but I hope it ends better
Someone else had put the floor in before I got my car
I have my floor all painted and cut the big hole for the filler neck
And had to look around for a picture of where the vent line went also
I thought I would try the gas tank straps before I got the tank under the car
The person that had changed the floor never got around to putting the front mounts on yet for the straps (thinking more than one bad word at this moment)

Uh Oh! Luckily my car is running and driving. The previous owner (who 'restored' it) did a pretty good job actually, just a few minor niggles to work out, but raw petrol (gas) fumes venting into the boot (trunk) isn't good... thanks for the help...

The vent actually goes inside the driver side rear frame rail! :shruggy:

i vented mine out side the frame rail by connecting a bit of rubber hose on the end of the steel line & run it out one of the factory frame rail holes  :yesnod:
