Hope that didn't give anyone a heart attack. Sorry  :pity:

I saw somewhere online in Mopar Collectors Guide around 2003/2004 where they ran an article about a guy who's Daytona was carjacked and the thieves took him along with the car only to decide they didn't need him so they pulled over, tied him to a tree, shot him and left him to die... Anyone care to fill me in as to the details?

83/84 A Guy comes home in his Daytona and parks it next to his high impact coloured 71 440-6 Charger, goes inside only to find two guys burgling his house. They hold him at gun point until they leave, taking him and the Daytona with them. Somewhere along the road they decide they don't need him anymore so they stop, tie him to a tree, shoot him and leave him for dead. This took place in the middle of the night and in the early hours of the morning a hunter found him while out shooting and took him to a hospital saving his life. While he was under going surgery and recovering, the burglars were driving the Daytona around their local neighborhood. Apparently everyone was noticing the car, with Daytonas being such an inconspicuous car so it wasn't long until they were caught. After appearing in court they were released on bail, only to be picked up by a girlfriend of one of the two who lo and behold was driving a high impact coloured 440-6 71 Charger! A cop noticed the two leaving the court in the car and it seemed a little odd to him, so he ran the plates to find the car had been reported stolen. The guy got both the cars back and parked the Daytona in his shed leaving it there until he decided to part ways with it around 2001.

That's basically it.

Cheers, Tim.
