So you're a color snob and a wing snob. :D :nana:
Color snob, yes.
Wing snob, not quite.
Haven't actually driven the car yet... still in resto.
I didn't have the heart to paint it a different color, even though Y2 isn't my favorite.
I'll make up for it though with some custom touches  ;)

does anyone have pics of a q5 C500?

One frustration I've found in placing a $ value on a 69 C500 is the ignorance of the "Experts" in the valuation field.   Take Hagerty's valuation tool for example.
http://www.hagerty.com/valuationtool/HVT/VehicleSearch

It has the average value of a 69 C500 as $28k, compared to $36K for a 69 R/T Charger.  It also shows C500 optional engines as 383 2BBl and 383 4bbl, but doesn't list 440 as an option.  It looks like they have it confused with the later "trim package" 500s, however they even list a 70 C500 383 average value of $31K.

I sent them a message a few months back but there was no response.  :brickwall:

Ghoste

You are absolutely correct.  The people writing the guides are not the people who know the cars.

Thanks !

It looks great. But the chances to find one in Q5 are really very small

Never had a claim so I have no idea how much of a hassle that would be, but Hag had no issues with my policy's stated value (& it wasn't 28k).  I think that link IMO is just for website publishing and I would hope they have a stack of experts that looked at them case by case and consider options and how the can impact values.  I visited with them for several months before going with them (hopefully I made a good choice 3yrs ago).  I told them what I had just paid and we added a little to that and they had no issues.

I seem to continue to be the minority maybe... on other thread BIN option is 130k for hemi bronze car which personally, if I was a buyer I think I would pass at 60k because of the color combo for me and I understand the shinny blue hemi 500 fetching, was that 89k last yr, as I recall?  Some people feel strong about colors, although roughly 1/3 of all 500s seem to be red, it remains a very popular color for many.
