I'm wondering if anyone knows how to adjust a 70 Charger deck lid? Mines sitting a little uneven on the driverside and I would like to adjust it to be a bit more even before it starts rubbing on the paint.

difficult to see what it needs with out being there ,  have you got pictures of all four sides ,  to show the gaps ? also when you close it ,  does it  want to pull over to one side as is clicks into the  lock?
Feel free to post any relevant picture you think we all might like to see in the threads below!

Loosen all the bolts just a little including the latch. Either your self or a good friend get into the trunk and shut the lid and latch it. Person on the outside then moves the lid till the lines all match up. Then person on the inside tightens down the bolts.

Thanks for the quick replies, I'm sorry I was pretty unclear on what I was asking. I should have asked if it is adjustable. I've never removed the deck lid so I wasn't sure. I will unbolt it and try to line it up and see what happens.

Thanks again!

And - You may have to tweak it with brute force if all else fails. Tweaking the hinges is common.

If the latch is already adjusted all the way down on that side you can always hog the mounting hole out a little more, as per some advice I got.

This is also a good time to replace your trunk seal if it is in less than stellar shape.  I always adjust the lid or hood or whatever without the latch in place.  Once it all lines up it's real easy to get the latch in the correct spot.  Ken's way works real nice if you are able to bribe someone to get in the trunk.

That depends entirely of where you would like to sleep tonight.   :nana:

Buy me a case of Cam 2  and I will push you in and I will hold the trunk while you tighten the bolts.  :2thumbs:
