Another update on their blog.

http://blogs.moparmusclemagazine.com/6797555/mopar-news/junkyard-daytona-will-be-at-the-mopar-nationals/

Too bad is isn't being taken to the Nats in as found condition.....     :shruggy:

They've had the nose off and straightened the car out a bit.    All that could have been done after being documented...     :Twocents:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

TheAutoArchaeologist

I will be there, fully document the car.  I will post it to my flickr page when I get a chance.  But it won't be til Saturday.  People on Friday or even today might see it.

There are a bunch of pictures of the car in my Mopar Nats Album.  Guy got a few tickets cruising on Saturday and long story... the car wasn't there Sunday.

Pictures from the show.

If you look in the HUGE first picture, the two cars look to have had their right rear marker lights swapped...... The F6 car has red paint showing under the black painted bezel and the red car has F6 green showing around the inset for the reflector. I wonder whats up with that?  :shruggy:

This is a rather common occurrence on Daytonas.  Reflector bezels installed at Hamtramck were body colored, since the stripe was not yet installed.  Creative's workers had to remove and paint the rear bezels in one of the three available stripe colors (red, black, white) - and from that point on, they didn't care what car they came from originally.**  My R4 Daytona had one T5 Copper bezel and one B5 Blue bezel which had been "mostly" painted black to match the stripe.  You can normally see the original bezel color peeking out from Creative's paint job in several places.

** Possible exception for cars converted with no stripe and a body-colored wing

Cool cars!! :2thumbs:

Glad I could bring the Nats closer to people.  My stats for my flickr page went from about 1000 picture views a day, to nearly 60,000.  It was nuts!

We watched it from the tower on Saturday, soon after this pic we could not see out of the windows from the smoke, it was awesome!

I was so excited and into the car... I forgot to take a clear picture of the board on the windshield.

Did anyone get a clear picture?
