Thanks for posting this.    Given Sandra's condition, this is very sad and a bit of a blessing at the same time.      My condolences to Larry and his family on their loss.   I will always remember seeing Larry and Sandra together at Monster Mopar.   It wasn't that long ago.

WINGIN IT

My condolences to Larry and the family and hope this brings peace to them somehow.

I got an email from Larry Friday night that Sandra was not doing well.
I told him just be there for her and take care of the family,  and to worry about the work on the car.

I don't do Facebook, so if anyone gets further details on any kind of public memorial or donations etc, please post.

here is what Larry has said so far on Face Book

         Larry Roper
Saturday
My wife, Sandra, lost her battle with Alzheimer's at 10:15 last night, August 9th. She has been my closest companion for almost 40 years. We just celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary August 6th, the very day that she entered the hospice wing at St. Edwards Mercy in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a fighter right up to the end. Plans are pending for a memorial service at a later date. We will post time and location for those that wish to attend.
Sandra asked that we all celebrate her life, not mourn her death.

May the Lord bless all of Sandra's family and friends, and especially Larry, with peace in this time of mourning.  She is at rest and fully restored in Him who gives us strength.

Thank you for the kind words and prayers. She was a wonderful person and I will truly miss her for the rest of my life.
The very last car show trip that we made was to the Monster Mopar show in St. Louis in 2010.
She loved riding around the track in our Superbird.
Her prized possession though was her 73 Cuda that we built together. We finished it in 2003, the year that she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

Our son Brent cleaned Sandra's Cuda up today. We're going to park it outside the glass pavilion where we are holding her memorial service. She would have been proud. I took the Superbird out for a long drive today. Thinking about her.

I want to thank all of you again for the kind words. The memorial service was great. She would have loved it. It was standing room only.
After the service we took her Cuda and the Superbird out to a cruise night in a nearby town.

Here's a pic of her Cuda sitting outside the Pavilion.
