My Hemi Daytona: Parts, Pieces, and Chunks...

It sure as hell ain't the parts I ordered weeks ago.

Try not to go insane when installing the stripe.  If you screw it up I doubt you'll do what happened to mine.  

I got both side parts on, perfectly centered on the body line, slowly peeled off the backing paper, the 10 year old stripe that had sat in the garage wayyyy too long before mounting seemed to work just fine.  Then mounted the trunk lid piece, and the backing paper came off in little pieces on the first half leaving lots of specks and looked like dust bumps under the stripe, when i got to the drivers side of the trunk lid, as i peel off the backing paper, a section of paint (between stripe and trunk edge) peeled off the trunk lid and stuck to the backing paper. about 4 inches by 2 inches that i'll have to respray again.  I'll try wetsanding it first but don't expect it to work.  

Use a stripe that isn't too old, keep the paper wet, and don't leave too much excess outside the stripe, I'll trim the transfer paper alot closer the next time i do it.

Not much exciting going on with my car...

Yesterday, I modified the business end of my whirly jig rotisserie and made

it into a nose cone assembly stand.



Today I ordered the following:


Tail light wiring harness

Body plug kit

Gas cap and trim ring

Body gasket kit

Trunk weather stripping

Gloss white "Daytona" stripe

And some other little stuff...


My credit card is still smokin'...
