is there a mod to keep the side mirror from not moving so easily? my mirror moves on its ball so loosely dont want to buy a new one, yet.

Really though, break the mirror glass, tighten the screws inside, replace with a new glass.

Or just use a touch of silicone goop.

a couple of drops of "super glue " and keep it moving while glue goes off ,makes an interference fit and tightens up on the ball .  don't stop moving while glue dries or it wont adjust at all  :yesnod:

Could try working a sliver of beer can up in there too. Some kind of shim..

If it is the rallye style for your 74 Charger, mine was loose as well.
You can tighten inside but you will need either a flexable phillips head or a PH that is shaped like an "L".
Move the glass as far as you can to one side and you will see them in there.

are we talking rally or non ralley...big difference.  non rally...use the super glue. it creates resistance.  rally...on the remote, the cable "sheathes" are pressed in place.  loosen up and reposition to take out the slack.  repress with vise grips.

I failed...I chiped my glass now im gonna buy a repro  :icon_smile_big:

Brads sells just the glass and flue kit for $25 or something like that.
