1969 Dodge Charger Daytona

This is a real Hemi Daytona with 20,000 original miles. Owned by a local Mopar collector for almost 25 years. Originally a light green car, it was painted Petty Blue in the early 70s. Automatic transmission, AM/FM radio, and both jacks. Includes original recall wheels and a large, heavy box containing NOS parts for a future restoration. Drivetrain has never been out of the car. A really great driving car. Broadcast sheet. Runs real well and is fully sorted for driving.

Call Jack or Doug at 303-761-1245.

Looking like it might be this old car we dont see or hear much about

The car we know painted red and blue Hemi Daytona XX29J9B409076.At this 1975-1976 time in the article the mileage on the car was 17171.5

Needs a red wing and stripe and some American 200S wheels to dress it up.     Radke's old car was one of the best looking Daytonas of all time.

"Swoopy front end"   :smilielol:

IMHO that's too much car to have nothing to break it up; stripes, vinyl top, anything!  I'd like a nice pin thin stripe down the body line.

If it is indeed his former car, did Jim Radke switch the dashboard out to a woodgrain SE unit, or someone else?

Aero426

Don't know if Jim had that done, or if it was that way when he got it.   At the time of the Hot Rod article, it had the woodgrain dash.   Also different door panels and seats with cloth inserts.

And probably the only 69 daytona that was ever painted by Earl Scheib

Jim confirmed that it is his old car.   After he sold it, the cloth seats and door panels were replaced with the original style.    He included the stock dash pieces, but they never apparently got swapped back.

nascarxx29

Very cool Jim gave it his COA AKA Certificate of Authenticity .I had emailed Jim awhile back and he helped me conclude the Hemi daytona from Adam 12 was for sure the Ed Ryan car :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Was the same car owned by Pete H? At one time too?

I believe that Pete was the next owner after Jim.

69_500

Almost positive that is a car my dad flew out to California to buy but instead came home with the R4 Hemi 500. Which oddly enough he bought from Pete.

Is that the one with the black vinyl top?

69_500

Yeah the 500 had the vinyl roof.  I called my dad it was not this car but the other one Jim had that he went to get. Asking price was $6,500. My parents flew out to see it and my mom said "not spending $6,500 for a car in primer when we have 2 Daytona's at home in primer. That Hemi 500 is a pretty car and he only wants $6,000." My dad said the petty blue car was there but not for sale at the time, the other one was a red Hemi Daytona.

You know, if y'all went to the national meets you would have seen this car in Colorado Springs...
