Well, she is getting quite close to completion.. I need to tidy up a few things. Due to a change in weekend plans, I decided to haul the Daytona down to my favorite exhaust shop to have the QTP dumps welded in and exhaust buttoned up. Came out pretty nice. The car sounds SO different without open headers......... I almost didn't hear it, relatively speaking of course to what I heard before with open headers.

1. heading out to the shop ( too far to drive with open headers and what would be its maiden voyage )
2. Just pulled her off the trailer
3. Waiting in line..... Needless to say, she attracted some attention
4. Her turn, heading up on the rack

Wrapping things up. ALl they did here was weld in the dump's Y-pipe, I'll do the wiring at home.

1. Tech welding things up
2. Tech welding things up
3. Nice profile, don't lay too far down.....
4. back home...

Well, got ready to take her out to her first maiden voyage ( up to the Shell gas station about a .5 mile up the road ). I dialed in the carbs after the exhaust was on ( much easier when she isn't so loud, I know my neighbors appreciate it ).. I was able to get 13 inches of vacuum and may get more if I tweek on it some more. Idles pretty nice in and out of gear and throttle response seems nice. I put the curve kit in ( two light springs and have set the total advance to 32 degrees ). These are tame videos... Later I'll push the envelope a little more

Feeling a little daring..
that was just a little jab of the accelerator...... Lordy......  :2thumbs:

Lastly, the QTP electric dumps on the Daytona. I have one side hooked up... So, the "open header" sound should be x 2.... But, you get the gist...
