Is the car near us or somewhere else??
Canada, but I am researching two in this area (Modesto, and Bay Area)...

You got a Hankering for a XX?  :)

Did you get that other Rare Charger?

ChargerHound69

Right now, I have 6 chargers, 1 1968 Dodge Super bee and a 1969 GTX conv. with the 440.  I don't think I can afford anything else.

I was just wondering where it was located since you don't see too many of them.

Guy took the master cylinder off of the 500...  He owns a Daytona...  I will inquire what happened to it...  Hopefully he can understand how important it is for us to log them...

HIS QUOTE:  "If you have a hemi 500 great But finding a Power booster setup it very hard to come buy. Check your registry I did list this car as dead some years back, Black on Black 440 auto car".

It's curious how he says "Some years back"...  Maybe he's thinking of another registry?  DAMN I'd love to have a Black Charger anything, let-alone a C500!

Heh...  I have three of the "HEMI brake boosters"...  :)  Now if I just had the HEMI...

WHAT IS THE MISSING BIT???  (Unfamiliar with Canadian addys)...

69_500

I'm guessing that the registry he was refering to was the Winged Warriors registry for the aero cars. It is listed in their known list, as far back as 1979. Although I can't find any information as to it having ever been listed as gone or totalled or junked. Heck a black 500 isn't something you come accross every day. Only know of a few of those.

The SE daytona's on the other hand aren't very common either. Only a handful of those around too.

This Daytona SE that ChargerPunk is referring to has been mentioned multiple times on this site.  I'm still waiting for pics of a Mod Top that was never produced.  :rotz:  Besides the issue with the top, I'd still want to see some photographic evidence before chalking it up in the Daytona or Daytona SE category.

:Twocents:

Danny, are the two cars you're inquiring about Canadian cars?  Those are the only ones I have with VINs that end in those three numbers.  Just curious...

69_500

Yeah they are both Candian cars, and I have always been told they are both SE Daytona's as well.

I was wanting to see a picture of the mod top on a Daytona. That is what I figured no photo to show that.

THE CHARGER PUNK

film is still in camera and will get developed very soon, mod top is gone but traces of it are still there and parts of the rare vinyl top xx29 trim is still and yes it is an se as there was the big SE decal on the roof and i looked at the dash to see the infamous xx29-MATT p.s. gimme a week tops and the pic of that car will be here.

Hey Jude,

Did you not want the master cylinder?  I see it is on e-bay now.  He gave me the casting number from the bottom and it is 2226821.  That is correct for a 440 car with power disc brakes from 68-69.  It is made by Bendix.

I had mentioned it here>  http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,9884.0.html

I was waiting for the pics of your three but forgot about it.

Charger Aficionado

Ouch now everyone knows it's on eBay!  Oh well, I think I'm good.  Can you believe I purchased an NOS one a while back for only $10 bucks.  I left it in my trunk outside and it got NASTY from the moisture.  It may clean up...  I'll just have that one re-finished...  Go for it if you want it.

69_500

So the brake booster your talking about is the one that is on ebay. I didn't realize that. HOpe you still get it.
