My headlightdoors opens correctly when lightswitch is on but they don't close when I turn the lights off.
Any thoughts?

first guess would be a broken "close" hose between switch & "T" fitting at rad support

Hosekit new but I can check, it works when I try directly on the actuators.

that's kinda like saying when you get new tires, they should never go flat....  :smilielol:

you have already proven the actuators work by applying vacuum them, so your problem lies between switch & actuators & headlight switch. Being both actuators have issue at same time, problem still is between rad support & switch

just because hoses are new means nothing...try listening for vac leak when engine is running and headlights are in off position.

Is it both doors or one?  Do they close eventually or once open thats it, that is how they are staying?

silly I know  , & doubt this would cause you problem , of not closing !   but just make sure
the vacuum line with yellow/ amber stripe goes to the top of the  headlamp door actuator
plain / no stripe vacuum line goes to the bottom of the headlamp actuator , &  the vacuum line with a green stripe goes to the vacuum  canister

Check the doors themselves for any contact with the surrounding pieces.  My grill is not properly supported (hanging low at the corner) so there is some minor contact... it doesn't affect them when I turn my lights on, but it does get in the way enough to cause a problem when they're supposed to close.

That's exactly the problem I have with my right side one.  ;)

Both doors or just one?  Check your vacuum lines...

Both doors will not close so it should be an issue between the switch and the T-piece, cabling is new checked and not cracked.

If one of the hoses on the vacuum pods is loose or cracked they won't close either.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

I checked all hoses yesterday-night for cracks and dents, this is not the case.
Beside of this issue, what also wonders me, is that when I connect the bigger hose to the intake, my engine is acting very strange. It just starts struggling, the same result when I hold my finger on the connector of the intake. So i was thinking maybe one of the hoses is blocked - On the other side,  the headlight-doors are opened as soon as I start my engine, even with the headlight switched off.

I created a drawing from all the information I've got on this forum see attachment, This is also the way my system is connected now and I'm sure this is the way to connect it.
