Track Pak and Super Track Pak are 4speed nomenclature; the main difference is the Track Pack is a 3.54 (A33) gear whereas the Super = 4.10's (A34).....

The 727 version was call Performance Axle Package; 3.55 (A36) and Super Performance Axle Package 4.10's (A32)

And they are only coded on the build sheet and most plants fender tags.

And the option package got you more than just a Dana. The A34 package for instance got you a 4.10 Dana and power disk brakes....among a few other goodies.

hemigeno

Here's how the 1969 (Dodge) Data Book describes the two options:

Track Pak
Code A33
(Available with 4-speed Manual Transmission w/ 440 or Hemi.  N.A. w/ AC)
> 4-speed Heavy-Duty manual transmission with Hurst shifter with wood-grained shift knob and reverse warning light (available in Package only)
> 3.54 H.D. 9-3/4" Dana rear axle
> 7-Blade Torque Drive fan (Std. Hemi)
> Dual Breaker Distributor (Std. Hemi)
> 26" High Performance Radiator w/ Fan Shroud (Std. Hemi)
> Sure-Grip differential

Super Track Pak
Code A34
(Available with 4-speed Manual Transmission w/ 440 or Hemi.  N.A. w/ AC)
> 4-speed Heavy-Duty manual transmission with Hurst shifter with wood-grained shift knob and reverse warning light (available in Package only)
> 4.10 H.D. 9-3/4" Dana rear axle
> 7-Blade Torque Drive fan (Std. Hemi)
> Dual Breaker Distributor (Std. Hemi)
> 26" High Performance Radiator w/ Fan Shroud (Std. Hemi)
> Power Disc Brakes
> Sure-Grip differential

and to be more confusing, the dual point distributor didn't make it to the packages for 440+4 cars in 1970-71, Lynch Rd didn't use those codes on the fender tag (though they do list the axle ratio itself,) and an automatic car in 1971 with 4.10's had the super track pak, too, since they dropped the name 'super performance axle package.'

maxwellwedge

Yeah - I never understood that on the 440-4 cars....The single point was the one with that big dist. vacuum can

your tag should read
122 083 676

Yes, now all is clear.
It was the 083 that was confusing me.

Question:
I have decoded my VIN tag, except for the top row numbers?

FYI Gary..

http://www.aerowarriors.com/sftd.html

122= 440 6bbl

083 = 3.54 Dana

676 = HEMI A-833 4-speed

I think we've decoded your fender tag. Not the VIN tag.

Those are the two digit GATE number, a three digit BASE number and a six digit SEQUENCE number. They are related to the production of the Body In White.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

...and that's as far as anyone knows.  they don't correlate with anything else
