I have figured out why my horn isn't working all of a sudden but couldn't find anything on removing the switch from the wheel. There is 3 screws that appear to hold it in place..is that all that is required for removing it. It is the original switch and probably needs cleaned. anyone?

Not sure if it is similar to mine Marc but if so, centre cap twists off, 3 screws hold the horn chrome.
Then I believe there are 3 screws that hold the switch on.

There is no switch in there
All there is is 2 rings
One in the steering column and one on the underside of what you can see in the picture
There is a spring that keeps the top part off the bottom part
That way when you push the horn down to complete the circuit any where on the circle it makes contact
Are you sure it is not the fuse or the relay ?

Switch should look like this.  Unplug the ground and 3 screws and you're all set.

When the horn is pressed it is just a ground
You shouild be able to take a screw driver and touch the post with the wire to the chrome part of the steering wheel to make the horn beep if you have power

Relay is good, horns good & yes if I ground the black wire shown in the picture horns honk. I understand it's not called a switch and how it completes the ground. I worked back from the horns and relay so it must be the switch or whatever it's called.

It is called a switch.
In fact 2771534 supersedes to 2822126.

Switch is out but how to clean it up since it doesn't separate? Where is a good place to buy one if needed

Citric Acid/lemon juice will do wonders to clean up corroded metal and will be safe on the plastic components.   :Twocents:

Switch is good but where is the ground made? Does the plate that the 3 screws used to attach horn ring/switch provide the ground?

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

So I basically need to run a new ground wire to that terminal on the horn switch? Like I said if I touch that wire(when off of horn switch terminal) now to the door latch or any other ground I get honking
