Hey guys..
The Lonestar Shootout is the big Mopar Show-n-Race here in Houston. It used to be our club's show, but we turned it over to a company with the dream of it becoming bigger than us Lil' Mom-n-Pop car club could ever do... But, we still like to maintain a personal touch. Each year there's a theme car display and this year I asked the Waller's if I could organize a special section for AeroCars.... So, who's open to attend the Lonestar and bring their C500, Daytona and/or Superbird?  I'll have my C500 there and I'm going to try and get the two other C500's here in Houston to attend. There's a 4th, but it's not together.... This will be a little project of mine...

The Event is at Houston Raceway Park, the big drag racing facility....

The event website is www.lonestarshootout.com

Troy,
Any chance that this could become an annual event?  I always look forward to the wing car gathering in St. Louis each year. I had to miss last year and have regretted it all winter long. There seems to be quite a few aero cars in the south, especailly Texas, and a few here in Arkansas as well.

I think the Wallers want to have a rotating "special display" area...  But, I'll ask them if the Aerocar turnout is good, if we can always have a "special section" for them to be together....

That sounds like something that I could go to.  I'm only 90 miles away in Bryan/College Station.  Count me in!!!  :icon_smile_big:  Are you gonna race also?

I'm not sure... I'll probably be busy doing club "stuff"... Our club will have a tent there.. Also, hopefully I'll be hanging out with the Aero-bunch...... I'm going to see if Cliff will bring his C500. There's a 'Bird in the club and another C500 in Pasadena I'm going to try and talk into coming......
What aerocar do you have?.......

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Speaking of car shows would anyone be interested in attending the annual Bluebonnet Street Rodders show in College Station, TX on June 10-11.

I'm going to one of their club meetings tomorrow.  They told me on the phone that they will be giving away a small block Chevy, custom wheels and etc.
I love the smell of nitro in the morning.

Oh yes you do.  This car is less than perfect and it's definitely not show quality.  I would consider it more of a novelty car.  One that should get a lot of attention from the crowd but not the judges.

Jim !!!!! Yeap, as BK states........  Are you thinking of coming down?.........  It would be so cool if you could.. Let me know if I can help with anything... The track should be secure at night with security. The Aerocars should be getting the space next to the bleachers.... Would love to chat some more and see your cars... I always enjoy hanging out with you... Did you know I'm going to be a new Dad? Yeap, we're expecting a little girl in about 4 weeks !!!   My first........

The track is secure at night. I spend the night in the motorhome and watch over the NSS racecars. They lock the gates at like 8PM and there area a couple of cops riding around in golfcarts keeping the peace.

Here's a couple of albums from previous HMCC (now Lonestar Shootout) shows.
