Proper '68 Grille restoration

The next thing I'd like to tackle on my '68 is to restore the grille.

I am slightly confused, though. My grille appears to have silver ribs, expecially evident on the headlamp surrounds, but, I have seen both ALL BLACK and BLACK w/ SILVER ribbing.

Which is correct? I am assuming mine is supposed to be black & silver.

Any tips on how to go about restoring my grille? Spray entire grille black, then hand 'pinstripe' the grille ribs silver?

Any tips on what colors to use? I have a good friend who is a fantastic painter, so that's the route I thought I was heading?

Any tips or secrets would be appreciated.  Thanks guys!

Should be done as per your headlight surrounds , grill restorations on here very good with photos, have a look for them , sticky s to them , but how you finish it can be to personal taste, I did my 69 as per the way 68 are done and added headlight surrounds only found on 68's,
I just liked the detailed finish of the 68 grills
