If I had the jack you would have to out bid me Indy.

Saw this on ebay....didn't look to bad. Talked to the guy a bit, and it seems like a pretty solid start to a Daytona....

so now I need  you guys to tear it apart so I don't do something stupid....(because I'm thinking  about it!)

I would if I didnt spend all my money on upgrades....hell I would almost sell my charger to take on this project.

Stevearino

This car is already being discussed in the Aero Car section under "Clone in the Rough".

DadsCharger00

Nice...I posted in the other forum about this car. I've talked to the guy. He said that the nose and wing are original parts. That the interior is in great shape, and that their isn't any rust on the body (but It looks the the rear under the bumper has some) But in general I thought it looked like a good starting point. Rough, sure, but I'm interested....mostly because I want a daytona, but don't have 50k to pay for troys.... :2thumbs: Otherwise his would be sold.

I would hold out for Troy's also :brickwall:
1969 Dodge Charger 500 440/727
1970 Challenger convertible 340/727
1970 Plymouth Duster FM3
1974 Dodge Dart /6/904
1983 Plymouth Scamp GT 2.2 Auto
1950 Dodge Pilot house pick up

Must have gotten a good offer he liked
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

DadsCharger00

nah, it's still there. Just been relisted. His previous add just expired.

I'm still thinking hard on this one. I feel like with the right offer accepted, get the car running....you have a nice clone....

Ok I see it has been relisted

If the Charger is solid and the parts are real maybe not a bad deal after all
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

70 sublime

How far away do you live from the car to go have a look yourself ?
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

DadsCharger00

There's the issue. A ways....I'm in Colorado. Not exactly a hop skip and doo dah. Any takers on someone to check it out?

Stevearino

If he ain't lying about the nose being a real steel nose between it and the wing you have some real value right there.

DadsCharger00

And thats what I was thinking...if you put the value of the nose, window plug, and wing....and the car...I see plenty of value.

Daytona R/T SE

You would be way better off starting with this one:

http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,113972.0.html

The one on ebay is missing a lot of expensive stuff.  :Twocents:

DadsCharger00

I entirely agree....but 15k and 50k are worlds apart....
