Back around 2007 or 08 there was a Daytona on River Road in Phoenix, NY  that was purchased from the original owner who was a regional rep. for Chrysler. The purchasers last name was Scrimallie and they own a body shop in West Monroe, NY area. He Ebayed the car, and it sold for something like 150k. The car had an old custom paint job from the 70's on it and "spider" aftermarket wheels. It had the nose bondo'd in with the fenders, and the wing bondo'd in with the 1/4 panels. The car was complete though, and had low miles, something like 17k. It supposedly was originally Hemi Orange/black interior, stripe & wing/440/auto console. Does anybody here know what happened to that car? Was it ever restored? Any Pics? :shruggy:

Yes the car is still around and in Canada now. Owned by a member here. These pics are from Moparfest 2013.

That's the one! As I remember from talking to the original owner, he purchased it from Utica Dodge in Utica, NY and almost missed out. He told me that he was having trouble finding a Daytona. The interior had been customized when the body was done but he still had the original interior in his basement. I think he still had the original wheels too. Did these stay with the car? :shruggy:  If not, he should backtrack through Scrimallie & original owner to retrieve them. The broadcast sheet should've been in those seat springs........

That blue Daytona is/was the stolen one from down by NYC, was it ever recovered? :shruggy:

The car sold new at McEvoy Dodge in Rochester NY. No broadcast sheet but has the original window sticker and fender tag. Got the original interior but not the original wheels (Road Wheels) with it. I have put the original interior back in because the red carpet made me air sick.... Lol.
V2, 4.10 Auto......under 17,000 miles. I rebuilt the engine and trans and had the original custom paint wet sanded and polished....still looks pretty good. Got rid of the headers and T/A style side exhaust (they were cool but all kind of rotted). One of the most solid Daytona's I have ever had.
