Have we ever worked out just what this does and why it's needed? I find my new dash harness didn't come with it. I have my old one and the FSM shows it between the dimmer/key in buzzer? I hate buzzers and mine never worked nor do I ever want it to.
I found some info online but not a conclusive "This is what it does"  kinda answer? I'm cleaning this up and can install it but would rather just leave it out?   :shruggy:

From Moparts

On the cars with the A01 or the headlight delay that connector gets a factory installed diode to bridge the connector in a way that the current from the headlight switch will activate the now double duty key-in buzzer....The diode itself in this case is simply a blocking diode where the current will pass through it from the headlight switch but will not allow the current from the key-in switch to backfeed to the headlight switch circuit...So that leads us to the main objective.... If you want your key in buzzer switch to perform the double duty of the headlight warning buzzer you need to install a diode bridging that connector... ...

Okay hating buzzers like I do....I'll start by just leaving it out. I pulled out the "key in" switch last time I got inside the column deep. With no switch, relay or buzzer we will see what happens when I fire up the new system. I pulled the diode jumper and picked off the tape to coat it in liquid tape before cleaning connectors with salt and vinegar. I saw online M&H can supply new ones. I'll post a pic after cleaning is done for you tan top. After cleaning I'll test it to see if it's still working. (It should only allow voltage to flow in one direction.)
