Well, that didn't take long.....the controversial, and hotly debated "V-code surprise" will now find a new unfortunate buyer.  I hope they like lots of drama because this phenomenon was never proven as the "real deal".   Obviously the seller still has a different perspective based on his auction description. "Buyer beware"....

Well, I'm not going to be to hard on Dave. I sold a car with a non original motor and a repop fender tag. The "Guru" certified both as original. Even long after I had written him a letter warning about the car.  ::)

oh boy...should be interesting.  So I take it he restored it here in AZ and is now selling it?

Fasten your seatbelts, everybody. It's gonna get a little bumpy.  :scratchchin:

Tom, you got a link or any photos of it in it's current condition?
Or, is it still in it's unfinished state like it was at Carlisle?

I think Dave gets some credit for exposing it if anything, can't see why anyone would want to bag him on this one.

I'd think the "credit" for exposing it goes to Dave Walden of ECS....but irregardless it is a beautiful car/color/combo and even if it has a "tainted" cloud over it, I see it going for some good coin

The BJ ad says it's a no expense spared resto.

No engine pics however.

Still, it is a damn fine car.  Just with baggage (and not in the trunk ::)).

That is the Dave I meant.

This is quite the thread.  I noticed there was no blackout on the rear taillights.  Is this something that happened on non XH cars?  just curious because I don't know the answer.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

the '70 model year used the trim panel wrapped around the taillamps. There was no blackout treatment like the '69 model year. This '70 looks perfectly fine in that respect from what I can see..... I would like to see the fender tag. If they are done, then it is a nice stripe delete car too.... I also noticed the '71 Charger R/T or rubber bumper '71 Superbee in the garage through the back window..
