If I had to guess the Fender tag was a mistake & should of been a U but was factory stamped V Accidently. ........

that is not an authentic fender tag - some reproductions are that good

I read the whole story a long time ago, can't remember if the fender tag was deemed fake or not but I know the door tag was. If the fender tag was faked the did a good job. I like how they didn't paint the one upper right fender tag screw like the factory but then painted so much other stuff that was not suppose to be painted like mentioned above & hood latch & hood lever ect, ect. didn't ecs do both the fender tag and door tag  :scratchchin:  I could be wrong   .

and then they were aged  to look authentic  :flame:

This car is all over facebook and the amount of people that are buying into it as a genuine AC Six Pack car is testimony to the amount of fools out there that are blissfully unaware of what is going on.

Its such a great car as it is, why the need to ruin its reputation by f'ing with its pedigree. Damn fool!

nope , I don't think ECS had anything to do with the fender tag !!   ECS only made a repop  door vin decal ,

I presume   from a picture & or inspecting the vin tag on the dash frame & stamped body sequential numbers.  I very much doubt the fender tag was even made available , to inspect ! ( the then owner of said ! charger prolly said it was MIA ::) )

other wise this car would of been red flagged for a miss stamping / fake tag  long before we all knew about it here  :yesnod:

I never seen the car so I really can't say if it's true or not. You would think he would have a build sheet or try to find these things to help him out with all this. I do know what do out there I know in Michigan there is 318 challenger that a guy turn it in to a 6 pack car. It was so rusty he payed the guy I worked 10,000 just for the numbers and rockers fork box off the car. There are some very shady people out there.
i am a fair person and up frount person and try to help if i can. i love my mopars thats. all i ever owned first car was my 69 charger at the age of 15.

The upper door pads are hideous.  :eek2:

I thought the bottom of the door under the panel was supposed to be interior color......I think that started in 67......my OE 66 is painted outside body color

From Reading the paper work it does not sound like Wise was sure of it's Authenticity & it was Questionable. I think the only explanation for this car is was a originally a 440 4bbl R/T car with A/C. Like my Car. Only the dash Vin was accidently stamped V for 6 pak. Factory error. Now with this done someone realized with this they could now get a phoney fender tag & door tag made & with what ever options they wanted. LEON.
