Do I still need a ECU and a ballast resistor if I am running the below RTR distributor?

Nope. I jumpered my ballast threw the ECU in a box and never looked back. Soon I'm making a modified harness for the RTR.

The REASON I got it....no more keeping just in case parts in the trunk. Full 12V coil, I tied start and run together at my column just to run (Blue) and that will soon become the "on" for a 40amp control relay, power fed off the 8ga. fleet upgrade parallel.  :2thumbs:

the ballast is for the coil...if you still are running stock Mopar coil, you need the ballast to cut the voltage down..otherwise it will overheat and short out

I'm running this coil

and my RTR dist.

I was thinking of running this ECU instead of the Orange Box

RTR (ready to run) dizzy fires coil. PAP (plug and play) dizzy use's ECU/ Ballast/ resistor as Mopar. I have THAT coil and RTR Dizzy.
