In Toys 'R Us today for baby stuff and happened over to the car section...

Much to my surprise I spotted and purchased a hotwheels-sized DMCL Charger! Only one on the rack and only about $6.

Revival of this awesome thread!

1) Curious if anyone else has since had the opportunity to visit any of the film sites?

2) My DMCL-themed garage art:

Ghoste

Wow!  It's cool but at 500 bucks for a starting bid it won't be coming over to my place.

That's a lot of dollars.
The color shots of the Charger would be great to own though.

It ended early so either someone made an offer he was happy with or he changed his mind.

nvrbdn

he put it back for starting bid of 295. :2thumbs:

Well a little over six years after starting this thread, and since having spent a few hours narrowing down the filming area and scouring Google maps to find a majority of the interesting locations used in the film, I got to visit a few of them as a small part of the honeymoon road trip last June. What a great wife!
"You go left on Fryman, right on James Street, then you bypass Bucola down to Jackson..."

Time for a revisit to the Farmington store part of the thread.  I drove by today and its an empty building.  The general store business is gone and all the signage is removed.   :'(

It was a cool spot on the intersection of nowhere and nothing. Since about 1873. The biker bar next door was hopping.  Otherwise still a really empty spot on the map of Northern California.

Pic from the old days that Jon posted.

I need to get there soon then because empty is usually followed by demolished.

I think we should take up a collection and buy it.

Clubhouse.  I like it.

Bill's Pool House would be better, since the DMC Charger actually went there, but the last time I was there is was still a functioning establishment.
