Hi all. I'm restoring a 69 charger, I'm installing the front suspension. I got an aftermarket sway bar kit, because mine was mia when I got the car. It has different mounting brackets with it and it doesn't like right. I'm looking for people that have installed these before, I'm not sure if I got the correct one. Here's a shot of how it's fitting.

You have to unbolt the the bracket from the K frame and slide it to the side and bolt it to the K frame again. Atleast, that's how mine is bolted to the K frame and it looks "normal".

that is how some aftermarket kits hang....    the original brackets moved the bar back and had the weird "A" shape that always got bashed to sh!t on parking stumps...

That's exactly how a fat Hotchkis bar mounts to the car.  This might be correct for your application...

I will play with it some more, but I can't go back anymore. I don't really like how much that bracket sticks out. I don't know who made this kit. I will keep ya posted.

Yeah I don't like it either.  I'm convinced that taking a hard turn one day will shear the brackets right off.  My welder says otherwise, but look at it...

mine is sort of like that , but with out looking , think its a little further back though ,  been so long since I done mine  ,  although  the brackets look reversible ,  think from memory ,  they fit slightly  better one way ,  well mine did I think , pretty sure   , had to drill an extra hole in the K frame  ,  so three bolts attached each bracket ,
they are Addco brackets / aftermarket sway bar  , or a copy of theirs ,

have addco bars front & rear on mine  ,  they were the only aftermarket Bars out there when I bought them for mine ( mid 90s )  , to ad one day after I done a resto  :yesnod:   ( I started collecting parts couple of years / long  before starting my nut & bolt resto   :P )

thought about welding them on ,  too , but ! decided not to , incase I want to change stuff sometime ,

Ya I think the brackets fit right or left and yes I still would have to drill a third hole in the k member. If this is how it should fit, I figure I will round off the corner of the mounting bracket. I tried looking on line for pictures or video but didn't see much, just one video. A before and after sway bar driving.
