Congrats! Just for curiosity, what's the deal on that 68 hemi Charger that it was parked next to?

Mark, it is a car Allen holds near and dear to him.. Not sure when the process will be for it, but I know, figuratively, it is one of Allen's favorite children..  :icon_smile_big:

I have known Allen practically half of my life and he's owned that car.... Allen,  you realize I've known you THAT long !!!??? I still remember driving to Carswell AFB there in Ft. Worth and attending my first Cowtown Mopar Club function.. Wow, how time flies....

Having known Allen for 35 years or more I can tell you that triple black 68 Hemi Charger is going nowhere. He has several cars out of his magnificent collection that I don't think will ever leave him. The 68 Hemi Charger may top the list of the ones that stay. I think there are only one or two other cars that he would be more inclined to keep. All in all I bet the Charger stays.  :Twocents:

Right you are Dave!  The three "Untouchables" are (1) Triple Black 1968 Hemi Charger R/T, (2) A4 Platinum 1969 Hemi Road Runner, and (3) Y1 Lemon Twist 1970 `Cuda 440-6... Right now, none of the other cars are for sale... but, as with any worldly possession, several could be bought if the "Price Was Right"... The "Untouchables" could only be bought someone foolish enough to pay well over twice the fair market value, basically the offers would be so far out of bounds that it would be irresponsible not to accept it.

The sale of the Superbird was the toughest decision that I made to date on my dwindling collection, having previously tried to maintain a "symmetry" to the collection...

Hemi Cars:  (1) 1968 Dodge & (1) 1969 Plymouth  (both B-Bodies)

Six Pack Cars:  (1) 1970 Dodge Small Block & (1) 1970 Plymouth Big Block   (both E-Bodies)

Aero Cars:  (1) 1969 Dodge Wing Car & (1) 1969 Dodge Non-Wing  (not really too symmetrical.... )

Modern Mopars:  (1) 2009 Challenger SRT8 Normally Aspirated & <<<Planned 2016 Challenger SRT Hellcat Supercharged>>>

Land Yachts:  (1) 1968 Polara 4Dr Sdn 440 Magnum & (1) 1968 Polara 4Dr HT 383

I will now turn to selling some excess NOS & Used Parts, and Hobby Literature

After 8 years of downsizing, whats left...

The third car I am thinking of Allen as an "untouchable" should we say was not the 6 Pak Cuda. I was more thinking the third might be a certain 69 GTX that has some sentimental value to you.

And to think, I have only about $6000 in the car ( obviously, I gave Allen a lot more than that to enjoy/use ).....

Personally, I'd almost consider putting the Hemi in the Superbird, and putting the 440 back in the Daytona.

Congrats, Troy.  It looks like all your hard work is really paying off.  Have fun restoring that 'bird
