Headlight wires needed for power to relay for door motor

I used an electric Porshe motor to work my headlight doors in my Superbird nose.  The relay going to the motor is wired just like this but there is an additional 12v supply to the actual motor with it's own relay built in but that's the way it works. I would like the #86 terminal to connect to the wire harness feeding directly to the lights from the switch. Does the low beam lights always have power after the switch even when the brights are on or does the dimmer switch cut off power to the low and shift it to the high circuit?  Since the car is apart I can't test it myself.

Got my answer having a friend work his lights and one of the highs weren't working.  I reckon I'm going to have to use the wire going to the dimmer switch since the lows cut off when highs are on.
