Do You Think One Dukes' Movie is enough?..

absolutly! It's a better premise then 007!
perhaps. as long as they dont overdo it.
whatever.. I don't much care.
No! one was enuff...
They need to recall the movie and burn the prints!

O.K. sportsfans,... pick your fav.
wouldn't it be cool to have 20 sequels!?.. It could be just like like the James Bond franchise, Star Wars or Harry Potter!
Geee, I can't wait!
just think of all the wreaked '69s! oh joy!   :icon_smile_big:

Khyron

Voted perhaps. as long as they don't rush into it.

On the other hand. More chargers will suffer the same fate :(

Too many sequels screws it all up.   1 or 2 at the most.  I liked the movie.  What can I say.  I'm cheap and easy.
Black Betty:  1969 Charger R/T - X9 440 six pack, TKO600 5 speed, 3.73 Dana 60.
Sinnamon:  1969 Charger R/T - T5 440, 727, 3.23 8 3/4 high school sweetheart.

Dunno, I still gotta go see the first one!

No! enough is enough. even if the wrecked Chargers were rusted up bondo buggies, it's gonna kill off parts cars and drive prices up even higher.

ChargerRob

One is definately enough!  >:(  No more destroyed chargers.

Maybe if they wreck a few more someone will build every single part like for those early camero years. ???

I voted perhaps too.

Sequels can be a real hit/miss deal. If they do make a sequel, hopefully it's just as good or better than this one.

The whole wrecking Chargers part does suck though. :-[

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Recharger

I voted "I don't care"... only because I know they've already decided to make another one.   $31 mil in 2 days...and they kept a handful of the cars already.   No brainer.   They'll buy up another 10 or so junkers for no more than $60K, make another $50 million, and then we can all argue more about how they ruined more chargers.   I can't wait!!     I'm just wondering if they'll wait one year or 2...

Wouldn't wrecking more chargers driver our chargers prices higher cuz they are fewer to chose from? In that case, im all for it. :icon_smile_evil:

in last month's MCG, WB told the writer's there's gonna be at least two more, with the same actors.  I'd like to see a couple more, even if it drives the prices higher, at least they're reusing the cars now instead of going to find new ones!
when racing deals fall apart.....you go home, like me.

Crazy440

If they make another cheese flick.   Why not up-date it, with the "new" Charger?   No one would give a s--t if they wrecked a bunch of those.   I mean, it is shot in todays times, not the 70s
I think we should boycott the movie and if someone can find these jerks address, we should write/e-mail them, with our thoughts.  NO more distruction of old Mopars.

Hollywood is SO unoriginal these days there will be 4 or 5 equels before they have squeezed all the blood from this turnup.
I liked the movie... i also liked the first Planet of the Apes... the 4 that fallowed and the remake.... some things should just die.

Do I think one Dukes movie isn't enough?   Yes, one was not enough, just don't smash up more cars too much, fix the ones you have and don't crash em that bad.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

In order to be qualified to answer this question are we to assume a first DOH movie was at all necessary?  ???

I enjoyed the movie. It was goofy and corny but fun. I could handle a sequel. The only complaint I have is the language. I wish i could take my 11 year old son to see it. He loves Chargers and the Dukes. Unfortunately the language is way too intense. The sexual stuff is a bit too much too. He's going to be disappointed but he will have to wait a few years.

Oh, God no.....  Maybe they will wreck a Superbee in this movie?  They have a history of trashing 70 Dodge muscle cars....  :rotz:
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

AlaskanCharger

Well I hate to say this, but I don't care what anyone thinks. I almost wish I didn't own a charger right now, with this movie coming out, and taking away more chargers like the tv show did, wrecking them and *no more parts for us*. I am not in favor of a second or third movie, I haven't even seen the movie thats out right now, nor do I really care to. I love mopars and other cars as well, maybe its time to switch brands. After over 20 years and 34 or so mopars, I've just about had it with people and this damn movie crap. I understand that Hollywood needs to make movies and all to keep people entertained, but where do they draw the line? I almost *puke*whenever I hear about or see a Dukes charger anymore, especailly when its not even the correct year. Put me down for NO, please don't make anymore Dukes movies!

Daytona Guy

I hope there is only one.

I know I am going to get ripped, but I think I can hold my own. Here is my take/opinion on the DOH movie I saw.

Setting the Stage

7:00 PM showing Thursday
1 week after the opening
At the Largest theater auditorium
Only 20 people in attendance

The movie sucked.

It started off with bad language and a whole lot of sleaze and skank to stink up the room. The Duke boys were two Hillbillies that fell off the Beverly hillbilly's ride on their way to Hollywood. They both were unshaved smelly uneducated retards. They would embarrass a hillbilly. They acted like 13 years old. If I drove a General Lee to the show I would have left early for fear that some losers would ask me to give them a ride to the nearest cock fight. The Duke boys are supposed to be strong tough studs, not runts.

The movie flat out sucked. I sat there shaking my head at all the potential that was flushed down the crapper. They took a great car and put it in a Dog and Pony show.

The movie does not even compare, to any degree, the TV show. I went with an open mind. I tried to use all the arguments of - "Back in the 80's the DOH show was racy". I thought, heck, by the time my kids are older, and using that logic, by what I saw, the next DOH movie will be a skanky porn flick. Now maybe people that are raised in that environment can appreciate the finer side of inbred living, but it is just not my bag. People out here still live like that, but they live in single wide trailers with two Shevys in their yard and ten hubcaps hanging from their Christmas tree in July.

I am not upset, I'm angry. At the start of the movie you have Luke trying to bone some southern smell on his moon shine route. Now there is a boy I want dating my daughter. Now, maybe some people like that, but when you are a father of three daughters you tend to want to protect not promote the HO factor in life. Oh, that’s right, most guys are into new furniture but are in the antiquing business.

Then there is the pot. I do take this serious. I have friends and family in Law enforcement, who risk their lives daily in fighting drugs. I have seen lives ruined on both sides of this fight. I see pot smokers as no better than the guy that pulls the trigger and kills a cop trying to defend his devils veggie crop. From smoking dope in a college dorm, to the Governor smoking dope in the smoke house, it all makes me sick to see this in the DOH movie. These freaking dregs and losers did their best to make this a 1 time movie. It is no wonder there were only 20 people in a 400 seat auditorium after one week. I guess we all should be happy they screwed up this movie so bad - they will not be destroying any more Chargers - Yee Haa.

Ditsy, I mean Daisy, was all bod and no brains. For some guys that suits them fine, for that helps their cause, but the only thing she was, was skank bait.   Gee Dad, (Jessica's Dad)   what's it like to pimp your daughter?

The argument that this movie is no different than the TV program, I am sorry, but it does not even compare.

If it was not for the car I would have got up and left the B movie. Think about it. If the GL was a Shevy, would you be there? They had an opportunity for a hit, but they were too stupid to see it. I saw hundreds of kids and parents buy ticket after ticket for Sky High and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This movie had the power to draw people from every age group.

I said it before it came out, that if the skank factor was for the money - they have no clue on marketing.

Yah, they got the early crowd and DOH faithful the first go around on the opening week, but it will be out of the theaters shortly.

Hey

Yes bring it on   , another   two should do  ,but  no more  driverless stunts   , bring back the stuntman and be true to the original series  .Its great that they re-used GL's that they had already jumped .

Hollywood doesn't have an original thought in there heads, it's all about cash.   :scratchchin:
I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.
