I HAVE INSTALLED A NEW AFTERMARKET OIL PRESSURE GAUGE AND A WATER TEMP GAUGE, I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM BOTH JUMPING AROUND SO I FOUND OUT FROM A FRIEND TO GROUNG THE ENGINE (WHICH WAS NOT) TO THE FIREWALL, WICHED WORKED FOR THE WATER GAUGE, BUT THE OIL GAUGE IS STILL JUMPING, DO I HAVE TO GROUND THE TRANSMISSION THE SAME WAY?

Plumcrazy

You don't have to ground the transmission.
How much is it jumping around?  The original gauges were thermal type gauges that responded very slowly to pressure changes.
A quality new gauge will respond much faster.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

ITS JUMPING AROUND PRETTY GOOD, WHEN YOU PUT A LOAD ON IT THE GAUGE GOES STEADY BUT AT A STOP OR IDLE IS WHEN IT JUMPS AROUND
