externally regulated nippondenso alternator

Hi friends... a friend of mine wants to install a modern good capacity alternator, but keeping the stock external alternator on his 74 Dart. Which one is the one you use to mount ? is a plug and play job, right ?

The one 440source uses doesn't say PN and is just 60 amps.

( beside I bet can be found on better price, on regular parts shops )

Mine from Mancini Racing, a 120amp kit for big block works very well with a 70 up regulator. Proven to output +50amp at idle in my testing. Has 2 field and output stud on the back, you may need to adapt wires a bit longer to reach?

Uses either factory regulator and requires no change in mounting or wiring. Not cheap.

thanks my friends will check carefully tomorrow. We are trying to find one locally so with PN &/or images is a great help. Anything able to give 55-60 amps iddling is ok. He lives in a VERY HOT city ( highs on 100-104 F average all year long ), so will keep the A/C working FOREVER. Usually the bigger "stock" alts are not able to give more than 45 iddling... nice for a guy like me who is allways allert to everything on car and knows how to handle this kind of stuff and toward to the stock look ( and living on a city with highs on 92-95 F average all year ), but not really nice for somebody who doesn't want to be with eyes on this and deal with.

Personally I'm still pointing to something like the stock look 100 amps from TuffStuff... when money come.
