10-years ago, me and some friends took a bus trip to NYC. We made a pit-stop on the Jersey Turnpike, I look out the window and see THREE WINGS!!!  What tha?!?!?

Jump off the bus and run over to the cars. Talked to the guys for a couple of minutes, told them I had a 'Bird. They explained they had just participated in the Hot Rod Power Tour.

At the time, I had not been around the Mopar community in many years and knew nothing about the cars they had built.

Anyway...I had to go, and snapped these two pics:

Hey Dave,

Both of those links took me to the same page. And I've never seen that Daytona before. But I've not been to a Mopar Show since 2005, and the last time I took the 'Bird to a Mopar show was 2002. So, I don't get around those circles these days.

The only Daytona I remember from my Mopar Show days of the 80's was an immaculate, trailered, red 440 car with something like 503 miles on the odometer. I think it was a Maryland car.  Back in the day, it was nothing to see several Superbirds at the (Steve Digiulian (sp?) / Nick Miller) Mayo Beach show. But seldom did you see a Daytona.

David,

Wow....also have not seen the powder-blue Police auction Daytona. I would have remembered that one. Greensboro is less than an hour away from me.

In the late 80's, halfway between Greensboro and Dover, right-hand side heading East, there was a blue Superbird. I'm almost certain it was B5. The owner had a pizza shop in Dover. The car was parked outside, at least during the times I saw it. Later went through a divorce and the car was sold. Never saw it again.
