I'm hoping to get my '68 into the paint booth at some time in this year. I have not yet decided which color I want to go with and was wondering if y'all could help me drum up some pictures of the car painted in the different factory colors. google turns up some of the colors but lumps all the reds and greens together and almost all of the pictures are very low quality. I figured y'all were the best resource I had to resolve this issue.

Finally, a '68 chart of the available colors.

My Charger (you did say you liked red) is coded R6 red and the equivalent '68 color is PP1 Red.

I don't know how accurate those color charts are for most colors.  I have RR-1 Burgundy.
The chart doesn't come close!

You're right, it doesn't.  GG-1 Racing Green looks great on a 68.

I guess the trick is test panels.

RR1 is an awesome color , don't see many 68s in that color !!

, I thought that !!   no look like RR1  ,  with the color chips I posted ,   may be age ,  & or being scaned / photographed  etc  :scratchchin:

triple_green

Remember those old colors were enamel. When I repainted my 68 to it's original 66-1 which is dark metallic poly green, there was a warning from the manufacturer that the using the base/clearcoat modern paint would appear 25% brighter the the factory enamel. It really pops compared to the enamel and there is a gold backflake the comes out in the sun.

I some lighting it looks lighter than the stock color.

I would say the the modern paints in any of the stock colors especially the darker one would really be awesome!
