Thanks Jim.  I still have not caught the transmission guy.  He is usually there weekdays.  I hope he is alright.  I got the gas tank out of the C500 this weekend and tore down the 440.  can't wait to cruize in her.  I would love to find some one with a B body Dana with some highway gears to swaop for my 411s spooled :brickwall:

The water pump pulley, crank shaft pulley, power steering and alternator brackets are all painted black.  Can some one tell me if it is flat, semi gloss or gloss?  Thanks so much!

Everything I have ever seen Allen was close to a semi-gloss... Something like a Chassis Black if I recall correctly...

Something like this.. I'm sure it isn't exactly to the level of Geno's Daytona or John's Bird..

Well got the front and back glass pulled.  The windshield cracked during removal, but the rear came out fine.  The bottom track of the rear window is a mess and will need new metal.  Im cleaning the trim up now and will clean the dash and repaint that area soon.  I sent some pics to Stuart and I am hopeful he can post on this thread.  It looks like I am going to need a new gear box :slap: :brickwall:

New gear box? Steering gear box or 727?

Steering gear box is leaking.

Is the case cracked? I have rebuilt a lot of power steering boxes here locally and they were like new when I got them back.. New gaskets, new bearings, etc...  There has to be someone in the St. Louis area that can do that... The job for me was about $125 and best part, I get to keep the original box ( not to say the one in the 500 is, but at least you sort of know the history )..
