Mytur Binsdirti

Saw them both in person yesterday. They were side by side roped off (noses closest to the ropes) and the hoods were closed. From what you could see they looked like nice cars, but it's hard to tell with a white car without getting close to to scrutinize.

Redbird

For cars that you can not tell from the difference from 440+4 cars about 95% of the time, the premium is a lot. I suppose if you just want to sit at car shows with the hood up and hear folks say, WOW, then OK.

I know there are folks that really drive their cars, but about 90% of the cars are driven less than 1000 or maybe 500 miles a year. The hemi cars, the owners have to keep the miles down. How many Hemi Superbirds are driven 5000 miles a year?

"Some were even converted back to regular 70 Road Runners", sure I believe that.

Nice cars by all accounts.

Moparpoolman

Anyone know what the converted 4spd bird bid to?

odcics2

How much less is a converted 4 speed worth compared to before the swap from original 727 ?   :shruggy:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

moparchris

I believe the converted 4 speed "Bird bid to $275 or 285K.  Sorry, my memory isn't what it used to be

Your favorite color too...

I had a few people ask me if the automatic 'Bird was my car at the auction.  WINGNUT426

The Hemi automatic (on the column) sold for $330,000. I saw both Super Birds at the auction. I was talking to the guy standing near the cars. Turns out he was some big wig at BJ. He said their estimate for the cars was $500,000 each.

Non high-impact paint, bench and auto on the column can hurt even the mighty Hemi Superbird.

I like Alpine white.    Some seem to perceive it as a negative.

Compared to the low miles orange Hemi 4-speed Bird that recently sold for over 300k privately and was ready for refurb, the white bench/column car had it's restoration thrown in for free.
