Taking Charlene (68 Charger R/T) to Maple Grove raceway tonight to see what she can lay down. Anyone care to take a guess at E.T. and MPH? Combo is a .030" over 440, Stock crank and rods, 10.4:1 compression, stealth heads, .509/292 hydraulic cam, 1.5 crane gold roller rockers, tunnel ram with 2 750 holleys, 1 3/4" headers, full 3" exhaust with flowmasters. 727 trans with shift kit and 3,000 stall converter, 4.11 gears with 29.5x10.5 slicks. I"m hoping for 12's, but I don't know what that feels like because prior the fastest thing Iv'e raced ran 14's.

The important thing is to have fun and enjoy the experience. There are allways growing pains with a new build and dialing them in often takes a few trips to the track  :yesnod:

That being said ; your combo has enough power to run in the 12's and 110+ MPH through the traps if everything is working properly.  ;)

Good luck and post the results when you have a chance  :2thumbs:

I agree, No matter what the ET is I wont be disappointed because I am thrilled with how it runs on the street. Shreds tire, and puts you back in your seat good.  :2thumbs: Although I would really love to outrun my buddies 400 small block 71 Camaro. He hasn't run his yet, but he has slips from the previous owner showing low 12's. So we'll find out tonight!

And of course I forgot to mention in my combo the firecore RTR distributor, coil, and wires! Super happy with them.

The 29.5" tall slicks are a little bit of a tight fit. Anyone else run that tall of a tire with no issues? I have my air shocks pumped up to the max!

Did you get a weather reading? Maple grove is usually 2100-2800 ft da and humid. That said, youve got a mid 11 second car in better air.
Those tires should fit with the only chance for a rub being the front leading edge of the 1/4.
What was you 60' and  mph

Fantastic !

I'd be happy with those results on the first outing !  :2thumbs:

Wait until the cool air comes and the DA drops....it'll pick up a bunch  :icon_smile_big:

Based on the mph you have an 11.60-11.70 combo when you get it to 60ft better.  :yesnod:

You've got bragging rights now  :coolgleamA:

No I did not weigh the car, but I would like to, and I did not get a weather report, but I know it was humid! I did not expect a sub 12 pass, but now that I'm so close to the 11s I'm really itching for that 11.99 time slip!

Take it back up in 2 weeks when the air is cooler and no humidity and untouched, it should hit 11.88's without a hitch. A shorter slick would get it even deeper and probably drop your 60' a solid tenth.
