Anybody know what magazine this art is from?

A long time ago I got a hand drawn pencil piece that was used in a magazine.  Since I veered and got a 71 charger instead of a wing car, it has just been sitting around.  Now I want to display it and want to find the magazine that it was used in.  Anyone have any idea?  Thanks, Kim.

It could have been about any magazine, I suppose.  I did a quick search for "B. Harbort artwork" and came up with the following link for Bill Harbort:

http://www.harbort.com

Looks like Mr. Harbort does all different kinds of automotive art - haven't gone through the whole site, but there's some neat stuff in what I did see.

*UPDATE*

I sent Bill Harbort an email, giving him a link to this thread, and asking him if he wouldn't mind sharing any details about that drawing with us.  He was kind enough to reply back, and here is his reply:

Hi Gene,

I did that cross hatch drawing of a SuperBird for a CSK publication, "Fast Cars and Rock n' Roll".

It was published in... I think 1990 pg. 61.

Thanks for making me aware of it again. I always liked that drawing.

Bill H.

I took some time the other day to go through his website a little more thoroughly - he has some COOL Mopars on there, and I hope someday he'll do a Daytona or a '69 Charger...

I called the guy and talked to a lady there, I asked if he did custom work.  I wanted to get a drawing of my 68 Charger and convertible Challenger together.  She said he does take request $2000 and a two year waiting period.  Man I diddnt pay $2000 for either of my cars :icon_smile_cool:

Fast Cars and Rock 'n' Roll?  I have that magazine buried away in my stash!

Now I have another magazine to search for in the stacks at swap meets.

Well, if it's rare, I'm gonna sell mine on E-bay for 16,000 dollars.

I'd be interested to see how it looks when you get it in.  Guess you didn't spring for the custom job, eh?   :icon_smile_cool:

I figured I would be better off spending 2k getting the challenger on the road than 2k Having a painting showing how it would look if I diddn't keep blowing my money on other distractions :P

Glad to help out!

Ask Ghoste when his copy will be on eBay, and see if you can get him to lower his reserve  :P

69_500

Well Ghoste if your selling your copy for $16K count me out. For $3 count me in :)

If that's how you guys feel, I'm gonna sell it at Barrett-Jackson.  You're just trying to screw me, so you can flip it.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Hmmmm, flipping magazines that sounds like a get rich quick scheme. :)

I orered the 70 Challenger convertible print and just recieved the 70 Charger R/T print?  I called, they were very nice and asked if I liked the Charger print.  I said I did, so she said keep it and we will get the one you ordered in the mail.  I guess I am having a good day.
