If I was 15 years younger I would take it on just to do it but not now..

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I remember this car form the last time it was for sale in the $5,000 range IIRC. Weren't there some legit, vintage NASCAR/USAC parts on the car?

If it was an original Nichels car with all of the nascar parts on it, including the front suspension and floater axle, it would be worth 10K, even without any known history.   :Twocents:
The original parts add up to that.

If it has a fully documented history, the sky is the limit.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

ill go ahead and squash any belief in this being, once was or ever has been a nascar. ive seen it in person before this seller had it. its crudely built short track car built back in the late 80's or early 90. was never a finished car. the nose is handmade and crude, a good 20 footer but not even close to original. everything is welded together. the nose to the fenders to the doors and to the quarter panels. even the trunk lid is welded down.

At best this looks like it started out as a home-made Saturday night short track special.  I don't see anything Nichols about it.  Especially the hobby stock style crush bar going across the dash.

farm966

Wait....I thought every wing car was either built by Petty, Nichols, Allison, Owens...or someone attached to legendary Nascar history....everytime one turns up someone claims that in their history.  :insertsarcasm:

Not being able to see it in person, the K member looks like a Nichels piece.
Does it have an original full floater axle?  If so, those 2 pieces are 5K in value.

Aero426

My impression of the K frame is that it is home built.  Probably using "Cotton Owens builds a Daytona" press photos.

Looking at the hub covers, the floater appears to be a quasi modern piece.

They probably started as a replica and gave up on it for some reason.
