ok so my light doesn't work on my 70 coronet dash.the foot pedal is shonky but still switches the lights from high to low etc  but no light , not even dim
I have tried.
1.replacing the bulb/s  :'(
2.replaced with a new black socket  :'(
3.replaced it with one from another part of the guage lighting which works  :'(
is it possible I have a dead spot ?.I don't want to have to pull the cluster out and replace the whole circuit board.
as I am useless with electronics can I get a sparky rig up a separate switch some where else to get it to work.
thanks

I would check for a loose pin on the circuit board first

The pins are crimped onto the circuit board. It's what the big electrical connector slides onto. They tend to get loose, even when they appear to be fine. Run some solder on each of them, both sides. Fixed all my light issues.
