My stock ammeter on my '68 Charger 383 was reading around -20. I removed the alternator and battery and had them tested. They both are fine. When I put the car back together the ammeter had the same reading.

For some reason I honked the horn and the ammeter reading changed to the positive number side but the temperature and oil pressure gauges stopped working.

All of the fuses are fine. I restarted the car (and honked the horn again), but no change, the oil pressure and temperature gauges stayed in the postion they are in when the car is off, while the ammeter stayed in the positives.

How do I get my stock gauges (temp, oil) working again?

Thanks,

Chris
