The previous owner had this car alarm installed. I very much want this gone! The problem is I do not know where to begin. The wiring is a mess and I do not want to replace the entire harness. Any thoughts on how to proceed?

I installed an alarm last year. All you need to do is remove all the splices to bring the wiring back to stock. You can find the wiring diagrams of these alarms online to identify the wires but again, just remove everything that's not stock, use some liquid wire insulator on any nicks and call it a day.

Thanks DINO, I had not thought about pulling a wiring diagram for the alarm.

Holy splices Batman! On the plus side, with the wiring being basically non existent in these old cars, there shouldn't be too many tie points to trace out.....
